This academic initiative brings together Founderz, contributing its experience in digital education and AI training; the Autonomous University of Madrid, contributing its perspective on academic research and the analysis of the social and economic impact of new technologies; and Microsoft, drawing on its extensive experience in developing artificial intelligence tools and digital skills training programs.
Through this Chair, we place a particular focus on young people and preparing them for a labor market undergoing profound transformations driven by technology, especially artificial intelligence. The goal is not only to help them develop advanced technical skills, but also to build awareness of AI’s social impact in order to prevent bias and other ethical issues.
The Goals of the ERIA Chair: From AI Training to Developing a Cultural and Legislative Framework for Responsible Use
Artificial intelligence has rapidly transformed the labor market as well as people’s everyday lives. Through the ERIA Chair, Founderz, UAM, and Microsoft are committed to addressing the challenges it brings, promoting responsible practices, and preparing today’s and tomorrow’s workforce for an environment in which AI plays an increasingly important role.
To achieve this, we have established four main objectives:
- Artificial intelligence training. We are committed to developing specialized AI education programs that improve employability among young people and help them build the skills needed to adapt to changes in the labor market.
- Creating frameworks for ethical responsibility in AI. We aim to promote a robust ethical framework for the responsible adoption of AI in both society and business.
- Research and knowledge sharing. Through this Chair, we advance understanding of AI’s impact in Spain and Europe through advanced research and scientific publications.
- Development of the Responsible Use of AI Toolkit in Spain. Through this toolkit, we provide guidelines, standards, and methodologies for assessing and mitigating the risks of artificial intelligence and supporting its ethical, safe, and efficient adoption.
