AI in Action: where Artificial Intelligence meets small business.

It all started as many things do these days with a video call.
One of those meetings in front of the screen, coffees in hand, cameras on (some with a blurred office background, others from the kitchen) and a flurry of ideas bouncing between the teams at Founderz and Microsoft.

We were talking about the usual: artificial intelligence. How it’s transforming industries, automating tasks, making decisions in seconds. Until, right in the middle of all that tech enthusiasm, someone asked a question that brought the conversation to a halt:
What about small businesses?
Where is AI in the corner store, the neighborhood hair salon, the workshop that’s been open for 30 years?

That’s when something changed.

Because while big companies are already harnessing the full potential of AI, many small businesses, the ones opening their doors each morning with grit, routine, and heart, don’t even know where to start.

From a screen-time idea to a full-on series across the UK.

That question was the spark.
It touched something deep, something real.
Because if AI is so powerful, why not make sure it reaches the people who could benefit from it the most?

That was the moment it all became clear.
Something had to be done. And we did it.
Cameras, lights… and ACTION.

What started as a simple conversation on a video call turned into a documentary series that took us across the United Kingdom.
That’s how AI in ACTION was born, a journey alongside Stuart Ridout from Microsoft to put artificial intelligence in the hands of everyday businesses.

We set out to truly understand what small businesses need, how they live their daily reality, and how AI is already helping them as entrepreneurs.

Because if there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s this: AI shouldn’t be intimidating or feel like something made only for tech giants.

AI within everyone’s reach.

We believe AI is within everyone’s reach from the person managing a warehouse with thousands of items, to the owner of a vintage shop, the team behind a small family-run distillery or a consulting firm that’s just getting started.

At Founderz, our mission as a 100% online school is exactly that: to democratize access to knowledge and support people and businesses in taking the leap into the future step by step, without fear.

Our approach is built around the collaborative, hands-on learning where anyone can explore new tools, share them with others, apply them in their own context, and reach real goals regardless of prior experience or company size.

So far, we’ve supported thousands of people across Europe in starting their journey into the world of AI. But with AI in ACTION, we wanted to show how all of that comes to life in real businesses, with real entrepreneurs facing real everyday challenges.

And if there’s one thing this journey has confirmed for us, it’s this: technology truly matters when it serves people. That’s where AI becomes meaningful. 

And that’s exactly where Founderz wants to be.

AI, more human than ever.

Beyond bringing technology, we wanted to find stories.
Stories of people who trust, take risks, learn, and discover that artificial intelligence can truly support their everyday lives.

Because we believe the real power of AI isn’t just in data, it’s in its ability to improve anyone’s life.

Our goal was, and still is, the same: to show that AI isn’t just for big corporations.
When applied well, it can be a game-changer for small business owners, helping them become more efficient, more productive, and more free. And all of it in a way that’s accessible, simple, and realistic.

AI in ACTION is more than a series, it´s an invitation. 

An invitation to see artificial intelligence through more human, more relatable, more possible eyes.

Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned throughout this series, it’s that it’s not about having everything figured out, knowing how to code, or being an expert. It’s about taking the first step, daring to discover what AI can do for you, your team, your business, your everyday life.
