We’ve joined forces with the Community of Madrid and Microsoft to create the first AI Generation.
At Founderz, together with the Community of Madrid and Microsoft, we’ve launched a free course in Responsible AI and Prompt Engineering, a pioneering initiative offering free Artificial Intelligence training to more than 100,000 young people in Madrid between the ages of 16 and 26, with the goal of preparing a new generation for the digital-era job market.
This project, available online and designed to be accessible to every young person in the region, aims to create the “first AI Generation,” equipping participants with skills in this technology that are now essential in today’s job market.
With more than 7,000 students enrolled in the first few weeks, the free Responsible AI and Prompt Engineering course has already exceeded initial expectations and is on track to keep growing. This response also shows just how interested young people are in understanding and applying AI tools, a skill that matters more to employers every year.
Leading the democratization of education with support from Microsoft and the Community of Madrid
This free program is designed for young people between the ages of 16 and 26 who want to learn the fundamentals of AI and explore its practical applications. With an accessible, flexible approach, each participant can complete the program at their own pace, fitting it around their schedule and preferences.
The course is structured around two main modules. In the first, students get an introduction to the basic concepts of responsible AI, focusing on ethical considerations and the importance of using this technology safely and thoughtfully.
The second module focuses on prompt engineering, an increasingly valuable skill that lets users give precise instructions to generative AI models in order to get optimal, tailored responses. This skill is key to getting the most out of advanced tools like ChatGPT or Copilot, Microsoft’s AI assistant.
The program wraps up with a hands-on final project, where participants apply what they’ve learned. The challenge is aligned with the Community of Madrid’s goals and presents real-world use cases where young people can propose creative solutions to real situations.
Students who successfully complete both modules and the final challenge will earn a digital badge they can add to their LinkedIn profiles, showcasing their AI skills and boosting their employability.
The program’s methodology, aligned with Founderz’s own approach, includes video classes, study materials, and live interactive sessions. Participants can also join an online community to share experiences and get their questions answered in a collaborative setting that encourages teamwork and networking.

A pioneering program in Spain and Europe
This program has the potential to position Madrid as one of Europe’s leading hubs for Artificial Intelligence training. By joining forces with Microsoft and Founderz, the Community of Madrid is building an innovative ecosystem that is drawing international attention and setting a standard for digital and tech-driven learning.
This pioneering initiative could serve as a model for other European regions, driving training in key technology skills and contributing to the region’s economic growth.
With thousands of young people trained in AI, the region will attract more technology companies, investment, and talent, turning it into a hub of innovation. As Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid, points out, AI training will help young people across sectors as varied as education, healthcare, architecture, and finance, increasing the region’s overall competitiveness and appeal.
The AI Generation is reshaping the labor market
68% of workers in Spain already use AI as part of their daily work, but only 25% of companies offer training in this technology, according to the Work Trend Index report from Microsoft and LinkedIn.
At Founderz, we want to change that. “AI is changing the way we work. By learning to use it, young people will be able to manage their time better and become more productive, spending less effort on repetitive tasks and more on strategic decision-making,” says our co-CEO and co-founder Pau García-Milà.
True to our commitment to democratizing high-quality education, we’re leading this effort so young people have the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital job market. Our collaboration with the Community of Madrid and Microsoft is a clear example of how strategic partnerships can create a real, positive impact on society.
