On Wednesday, November 27, Madrid hosted a historic day: AI Revolution Day, our first AI event organized in partnership with Microsoft and Freepik, brought together 500 in-person attendees at the Palacio Neptuno and more than 7,000 people online via our YouTube channel.
The day was packed with inspiration, learning, and networking, and it made one thing clear: AI is the tool of the future, and it is also a technology already reshaping the present for many people.
A Day That Started Strong
Doors opened at 9:00 a.m., but anticipation was already running so high that attendees began gathering well before then, forming a line that hinted at just how successful the day would be.
The event was opened by Pau Garcia-Milà, co-founder and co-CEO of Founderz, who delivered an interactive opening talk that set the tone for the day.
Rather than sticking to theory, Pau invited the audience to take part in real time in building a startup using AI tools. Through direct questions to the room, attendees proposed concepts, sectors of interest, and goals, which were then worked into a hands-on demonstration.
Using AI-based text generation and design tools, Pau showed how this technology can help sketch out business models in a matter of minutes.
“It’s a privilege to spend an entire day talking about artificial intelligence, talking about the future, about everything that’s coming and that, in some way, is already here. We built this event around what we, as a company, would want to learn about AI. What we’d want someone to explain to us. And that has been our guiding principle throughout this whole process, right up to AI Revolution Day.”
– Pau Garcia-Milà, co-CEO and co-founder of Founderz

A Morning of Talks That Left No One Indifferent
The talk by Magda Teruel, Partner Solution Architect at Microsoft, was one of the most anticipated moments of AI Revolution Day. In her session, Magda showed how artificial intelligence can become a key tool for spotting opportunities that go unnoticed by the human eye, changing how companies make strategic decisions.
Magda introduced the idea of AI as a business “copilot,” designed to help people with key tasks such as data analysis, report generation, and information management.
She pointed out that tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot automate processes and surface insights that help optimize resources and improve decision-making. One concrete example was Copilot in Power BI, which generates complex reports from internal data in minutes, saving hours of work.
Magda closed her talk by underscoring that the real driver of successful AI adoption is people: technology works best when it strengthens what they can already do.

Next, Joan Balaña, Head of Sales at Factorial HR, gave a talk focused on how artificial intelligence is transforming the human resources sector.
According to the data he presented, companies that use AI in hiring have cut their time-to-hire by 40%. On top of that, tools such as automated resume screening and structured AI-based interviews can reduce human bias by up to 80%.
According to Joan, 85% of employees who take part in personalized AI training programs report greater satisfaction with their professional development. Companies have also cut training costs by 30% thanks to the automation and personalization of content.
Joan’s talk made it clear that AI is a powerful ally for streamlining operational processes and giving HR leaders valuable data to make more informed, strategic decisions.

Before the lunch break, professors Melchor Gómez and Arturo Cavanna, from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), gave a talk on the application of AI in education.
Representing the Cátedra de Empleabilidad y Responsabilidad en Inteligencia Artificial (CERIA), an initiative developed in collaboration with Founderz and Microsoft, the two academics explored how this chair works to train young people for a conscious, ethical use of AI in both workplace and educational settings.
Melchor and Arturo explained how CERIA is helping prepare a new generation of AI-skilled professionals with an ethical approach that sets them apart in the job market.

An Afternoon Full of Creativity, Innovation, and Talent
The afternoon session of AI Revolution Day opened with one of the day’s most striking presentations: Sofía López, AI Growth Manager at Freepik, explained how artificial intelligence is changing design and creative work and showed live how the tools built by Freepik are helping redefine creative processes.
Sofía opened by explaining how AI is letting designers and creatives work faster, with fewer technical constraints. Thanks to this technology, tasks that once took hours of manual work, such as retouching or building images from scratch, can now be finished in minutes.
The highlight of the talk was a live demo of these tools, in which Sofía showed how to turn a simple sketch into a professional illustration in seconds.
With hands-on examples, she showed how these tools can be used by expert designers and by people with no technical background alike. The audience response was very positive, especially once they saw the level of detail and realism the generated images could reach.

Xavier Mitjana, consultant and science communicator, closed out the day with practical examples that any professional can apply day to day. From the start, Xavier drove home a clear message: “AI won’t take your job; someone who knows how to use it better than you will.”
In his view, the biggest shift AI brings is a new way of working: the ability to rethink tasks and processes so they become more efficient and effective, well beyond simple automation.
Throughout his talk, Xavier shared concrete examples of how AI is reshaping key industries, and how it has transformed his own approach as a content creator and trainer.
Where building a course once meant designing slides and recording videos by hand, AI tools now help him generate scripts, transcribe voiceovers, and structure course outlines, freeing up his time to delegate parts of the process and focus on the areas of highest added value.

The Real Revolution Isn’t AI – It’s Education
The closing session was led by Founderz co-CEOs Pau Garcia-Milà and Anna Cejudo, who spoke about education’s role in the technology revolution. Anna noted how AI training for everyone can be the catalyst for creating more job opportunities:
“At Founderz, we’re here to build. Above all, to build jobs. That’s why, when the idea of creating an online AI school first came up, we knew we wanted to offer elite-level training, but for everyone.”
– Anna Cejudo, co-CEO and co-founder of Founderz
The closing performance was an emotional highlight, where music met technology. A violinist and a pianist surprised attendees with a piece in which AI complemented the live performance, showing how technology can add a whole new dimension to human artistry.

The event closed with a DJ-hosted cocktail reception, where attendees could chat with the speakers and connect with other professionals in the industry. The winners of the AI-generated image contest held throughout the day were also announced.
The success of AI Revolution Day cements Founderz as a leading name in AI education. Beyond the quality of the talks, the event proved it’s possible to create experiences that inspire and connect a diverse community of people interested in artificial intelligence.
This first edition set the bar high and opened the door to a second one that’s already generating buzz. As many attendees put it on social media, “AI Revolution Day marks the start of a revolution that’s already here.”

“Yesterday at #AIRevolutionDay, we experienced an incredible day. The quality of the speakers, the flawless organization, and the impact of the ideas shared made it a solid 20 out of 10.”
“What an incredible day! Bring on many more revolution days.”
“Watching it all unfold on the livestream was incredible too, taking notes, fully locked in on every talk, and the segments with Marta were genuinely entertaining, sparking curiosity and holding our attention the whole time, even from the other side of the screen.”
“Thanks to the Founderz team, from A (or should that be F?) to Z, for letting me be part of this. Congrats on such a huge success, here’s to many more.”
“Thank you for inspiring us and reminding us that the revolution is already here! Unstoppable.”
