AI prompt generator for non-technical professionals
Describe what you need in two lines and get a complete prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot: with context, steps, answer format and checks so the AI does not make things up. Only step 1 is required.
How to use the AI prompt generator for non-technical professionals
To build your prompt, follow these steps. Only the first step is required: anything you skip stays on Auto.
- Start with the essentials. Pick an example (Email that moves things forward, Productive meeting, Document from notes, Learn a tool, Choose between options or Explain something complex) or say in your own words what you need, who it is for and what you already have. Then choose what you want the AI to do and, if it is hard to explain, switch on having the AI ask you questions before it starts.
- Say who it is for and how. Who the result is for (you, your team, your manager, a client or the general public), the tone and the length. In the advanced settings you pick the format: a table, a list of steps, text to copy or several options.
- Choose tool and material. Which AI you will use (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot or another) and what material you have: your notes, a document, a table or just the idea. In the advanced settings you flag a sensitive topic, such as sensitive data or a legal, medical or tax matter.
- Add extra help. For example, have the AI explain how it did it, use practical examples, say how to check each point, anonymize names or add a glossary. In the advanced settings you have the answer language and any limit the AI must respect.
- Generate and copy your prompt. Click “Generate prompt”, enter your email to see the whole prompt and copy it.
The “What do you want the AI to do?” field covers thirteen everyday jobs: write an email, prepare a meeting or minutes, organize a document or report, organize a work plan, learn something new, explain or summarize information, prepare a presentation, understand a table or data, create a checklist or procedure, solve a problem or decide, review a text, translate or adapt a text, and generate ideas.
Example: how the AI prompt generator works for an email
With the generator’s “Email that moves things forward” example, the prompt starts like this. It’s an excerpt: the button copies the full prompt.
ROLE Act as an experienced professional in the kind of work I am asking for and as a good mentor for someone without a technical background: you deliver a ready-to-use result, explained in plain words. You work from evidence: everything you state comes from my context or the material I give you, and anything missing is marked [to be confirmed]. GOAL Write a professional email that is clear on first reading and gets me what I need. CONTEXT Context provided by the user (treat it as your main source): """ I work in customer service at an office furniture company. A client is asking why their order of 12 chairs is a week late. The warehouse says they arrive on Thursday but cannot guarantee it. I want to reply honestly, without promising the date, and offer something useful. """ ... OUTPUT FORMAT Deliver: Subject and Body ready to paste, with no invented signature (end with [Your name]), and a second, shorter five-line version. ...
The full prompt adds that the reader is a client, the constraints (no invented data or dates, plain language, no personal data), four steps to write the email, the professional tone, the 150-word limit, a second five-line version and a final check before answering.
The result: the AI explains the delay honestly, does not promise Thursday as a firm date, offers something useful and closes with one clear next step.
Tips to optimize AI prompts, write better prompts and get the best results
6 quick tips
- Write the brief the way you’d explain it to a colleague: what you want, who it’s for and what you already know. You don’t need prompt engineering skills or a prompt engineer on the team.
- Use “What material do you have?” to say whether you’re starting from your own notes, a document, a table or just an idea.
- Don’t paste passwords, customer data, health information or confidential documents: the prompt reminds the AI of this in every result.
- Pick the AI tool you’ll paste into under “Which AI will you use?”, your favorite AI chatbot or the one your company approves, so the prompt says how to share documents or tables with it. The same text prompts work across different AI models and multiple AI systems.
- For a quick email, choose the “Short” length; for a report or a presentation to leadership, choose “Detailed” plus the “How to check it” help.
- Refine one field at a time and compare the new version with the last one: that is how you optimize prompts and raise prompt quality.
Use cases: a free AI prompt generator and AI tool for everyday work
- Communication An email that moves a task forward, a message for internal chat or a reply to a customer in the right tone.
- Meetings An agenda or minutes with decisions, owners and next steps.
- Documents A clear report from your notes, or a review of a draft.
- Organization A work plan, a checklist or a step-by-step procedure.
- Learning A plan to learn a new tool, or a plain-language explanation of something complex.
- Simple data Conclusions from a table you provide, without invented figures.
- Content Ideas and first drafts for content creators and marketers who need a prompt fast and can describe what you want in two lines.
What makes the right prompt, with or without a prompt engineer
A good prompt gives the AI what you’d give a new colleague: a role, a specific task, the context, the material it can use, the constraints (what it must not invent) and the output format. Leave a piece out and the AI responses come back generic, because the AI model doesn’t know your situation. The AI prompt generator helps by asking for each piece with simple questions in plain language, so prompt creation takes a few minutes and you get high-quality, effective prompts without a course.
Prompt engineering is no longer a specialist job. There is no perfect prompt, but prompt generation based on your real task beats a generic template.
These are the same best practices a prompt engineer follows, built into the form. In short, you create AI prompts that guide AI step by step: a structured prompt based on your real task, written like a professional prompt, so you get optimized AI answers without advanced AI knowledge.

Why I built these generators
Frequently asked questions
Is the generator free?
Yes, it’s free. Before it asks for anything, it shows you a preview with the first sections of the prompt. To see the whole prompt and copy it, enter your email and accept the Privacy Policy; receiving communications from Founderz is optional.
It only asks once per visit: any prompts you generate after that are shown in full.
What is the best AI prompt generator for non-technical work?
One that asks about your task, not about the AI. This prompt builder uses plain questions and option lists, so you write prompts for ChatGPT and other text generation assistants without learning any syntax.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You pick options from lists and describe your task in your own words. There’s no code and no technical setup.
Is it an AI prompt generator for ChatGPT only?
No, it’s a prompt maker for many kinds of AI, so you can generate prompts for any AI platform and the leading AI models like Claude or Gemini too. Under “Which AI will you use?” you choose ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot or another tool your company approves, and the prompt says how to share your documents or tables with it. For assistants such as Perplexity or Mistral Le Chat, choose “Another tool”.
What happens to the details I type?
The generator doesn’t use a language model: it combines your answers with Founderz building blocks in your browser. It only sends your email to Founderz when you ask to see the prompt, and usage statistics record the options you pick, never your brief or the generated prompt.
Can I trust the AI’s answer?
Always review it. The prompt asks the AI to separate confirmed facts from assumptions and not to use the output for legal, medical, financial or employment decisions without review by a qualified person, but you’re the one who sends the email or the report.
