Sales workflow: use the AI prompt generator for sales in five steps
To build your sales prompt, follow these steps. Only the first one is required: anything you skip stays on Auto.
- Start with the essentials. Pick an example (first email, sequence, discovery, proposal, objections or pipeline) or describe what you sell, to whom, where the opportunity stands and which case studies or data you can use. Then choose what you need and, if your context is short, turn on “Have the AI ask me questions before it starts”.
- Describe your sale. What you sell (software, professional services, an industrial product, training, a consumer sale or sales through partners) and the account size, from small business to enterprise. Under advanced settings you choose the sales methodology (MEDDICC, SPICED, BANT, Challenger or SPIN) and the channel.
- Choose the audience and format. Who it is for (CEO or owner, finance, operations, department head, IT, procurement or your own team) and the format: email, tables, script, document, slides or CRM notes. Tone sits under advanced settings.
- Set data and quality. The material you will attach and the level of detail. Under advanced settings you get the extra checks (A/B variants, personalization fields, qualification questions, anonymize data and legal review), the response language and a field for anything else the AI must respect.
- Generate and copy your prompt. Click “Generate prompt”, enter your email to see the whole prompt and copy it.
The “Task” field covers eleven sales tasks: prospecting email, permission-based sequence, account plan, discovery call script, sales proposal, objection handling, meeting summary, use case by segment, renewal message, partner brief and pipeline analysis. Each option adds its own guidance, so the model knows what structure the output needs.
Example: a prospecting email for operations managers
With the generator’s “First email” example (route planning software written to operations managers at food distributors), the prompt starts like this. It’s an excerpt: the button copies the full prompt.
ROLE Act as a senior B2B sales leader with experience in prospecting, discovery, qualification, proposals and negotiation. You work from evidence: you separate what you know about the account from your hypotheses and you never fill gaps with invented data. You write short, personalized B2B prospecting emails with the structure trigger, problem, value and low-commitment ask. GOAL Write a cold prospecting email that gets a reply from the right person, based on a verifiable value hypothesis. CONTEXT Context provided by the user (treat it as your main source): """ We sell route planning software to distribution companies with fleets of 20 to 200 vehicles. A similar customer cut the miles driven by 12 % in six months (case study approved for use). I want to write to operations managers at food distributors who are opening new warehouses. """ ... OUTPUT FORMAT Deliver a table with columns Version, Angle, Subject line, Body, Words, Personalization needed, then the list of facts to check on LinkedIn or the account website before sending. ...
The full prompt adds the context of selling software to a mid-market company, the constraints against invented data and false urgency, five working steps and a final check before answering.
The result: the assistant writes three versions under 120 words that only cite the approved 12 % case study and mark the trigger as a [hypothesis] when it is not confirmed.
Pro tip list: effective AI prompts for sales success with any AI tool
- Write your value proposition in one sentence and paste it into the brief. The AI can tailor a clear argument far better than a list of features.
- Separate what you know about the prospect from what you assume. The tool keeps sales hypotheses apart from confirmed information, and your brief should too.
- Ask the AI for a concise first email of 80 to 120 words with a single question at the end; short sales emails read better on a phone.
- Add the product name, the prospect’s industry and one real pain point. Don’t paste the company name of a contact you have no legitimate basis to email.
- Use “Sales methodology”, under advanced settings, if your team qualifies with MEDDICC or SPICED, so the discovery script covers the talking points your process needs.
- Review every message before you send it or log it in the CRM. The “Check the AI answer” box tells you what to verify.
Use cases: the best AI sales prompts for outreach and every stage
- Cold outreach A first LinkedIn message or email built on a verifiable hypothesis, not invented data.
- Follow-up A multichannel sequence with value in every touch and a clear way out for anyone who doesn’t want more contact.
- Enterprise accounts An account plan with stakeholders by role, or a MEDDICC qualification with the gaps to close.
- Meetings A discovery call script with SPIN questions and disqualification criteria, or a recap to log in the CRM.
- Closing A proposal with a mutual action plan, transparent answers to each objection and negotiation prep.
- Management A pipeline review to see where deals stall and which forecast is realistic, so your sales team spends less time on repetitive tasks.
What makes a good sales prompt with generative AI
A well-crafted prompt gives the AI what you’d give a teammate who is about to write to your customer: a role, a specific task, the account context, the approved material (offer, case studies, authorized pricing), the constraints and the format. In sales, add two more pieces: what makes your product different and the next step you’re asking for.
If either is missing, the model fills the gap with generic phrases or promises your company doesn’t offer. Detailed, high-quality prompts that name the recipient by role and problem beat long ones full of adjectives, which is most of what prompt engineering means in sales, and they are the base of personalized sales messages that don’t read like a template.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI prompt generator for sales free?
Yes, it’s free. Before it asks for anything, it shows you a preview with the first sections of the prompt. To see the whole prompt and copy it, enter your email and accept the Privacy Policy; receiving communications from Founderz is optional.
It only asks once per visit: any prompts you generate after that are shown in full.
Does it work with Gemini and Claude?
Yes. The prompt works in any text assistant, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Microsoft 365 Copilot. If you will attach meeting notes, a CRM export or approved case studies, say so under “Material you will attach” and the prompt tells the assistant how to use them.
Can AI agents or sales automation send the emails?
The tool prepares the text and leaves sending to a person. The prompt forbids pressure and false urgency, asks the AI to respect opt-outs and allowed channels, and the output is meant to be sent after a human review. That’s the right line for any automated setup too.
Does it help with pricing objections?
Yes. With “Objection handling”, the prompt uses the LAER method to understand what is behind the objection before answering, and uses only confirmed information. If the answer touches price or terms, turn on “Legal review” in the extra checks so it lists what management must approve.
Can I write to international prospects in other languages?
Yes. In “Response language” you can choose US, UK, Canadian or Australian English, Spanish for Spain or Latin America, Portuguese, French and other languages, or a bilingual English and Spanish version.
Certificate Program in AI and Innovation
The tool gives you the prompt; better results come when your sales reps learn to use AI at every stage. The Founderz Certificate Program in AI and Innovation is fully online, takes 3 to 4 months and leads to a certification from Founderz and Microsoft, with modules on prompting, automation, AI agents and responsible AI leadership.
