On September 19, we had the opportunity to hold the launch event for our Online Master’s in AI and Innovation at Microsoft’s Lisbon headquarters.
Beyond presenting our program, the event gave us the chance to talk about the potential of artificial intelligence in business, let attendees meet leading AI experts from Microsoft in person, and network with other professionals and companies in the field.
A Look Ahead With Industry Experts
Throughout the day, AI leaders from both Microsoft and Founderz gave a series of talks aimed at highlighting the challenges and opportunities that AI presents in the corporate world.
First, Manuel Dias, National Technology Officer at Microsoft Portugal, addressed the need to train professionals in AI. Given the growing speed of data and content generation, he stressed the need for skilled professionals who can put AI to work in a way that is not only efficient, but also ethically responsible.
Next, Xiaopeng Li, AI Business Lead for Western Europe at Microsoft, explained how Microsoft tools like Copilot are an integral part of an ecosystem designed to simplify and improve our daily work through AI, making clear that we are only beginning to discover everything AI can offer in the workplace.
Founderz CEO and co-founder Pau Garcia-Milà also shared his vision for education, underscoring how our school is positioning itself as a bold alternative to traditional education models.
Artificial intelligence and low-code or no-code development platforms have seen remarkable growth in recent years. According to Gartner, by 2024, low-code and no-code tools will enable 80% of digital products and services to be built by people who don’t know how to code – Pau Garcia-Milà, CEO and co-founder of Founderz.
Closing out the talks, Andrés Espinosa, Academic Director of the Online Master’s in AI and Innovation, gave a detailed look at our program. Walking through the modules, he showed that this program is not just another course, but a comprehensive, resource-rich path toward mastering and applying AI in the business world.
Finally, the event wrapped up with a cocktail reception, where attendees had the chance to network, exchange ideas, and build partnerships with other professionals.

The master’s program has already launched successfully in Spain: six months after its debut, it has attracted more than 5,000 professionals, making it the largest online program of its kind in all of Europe.

Tools like Bing AI and ChatGPT, along with low-code and no-code platforms, are a core part of the content, allowing students to solve complex challenges in minutes.
